We’ve come a long way on the MStart funded iTrend Intelligent Technologies for Renal Dialysis programme, developing our own continuous BP monitoring device backed up by a Finapres machine to provide some elements of calibration and arm cuff measurements

As we enter the 4th phase of development and clinical study, I’ve ‘condensed’ the entire rig into a small box which provides a real-time data stream of continuous areterial and venous line pressure measurements, and also activation and read signals from a remote controlled brachial pressure arm cuff.

The devices sit on dialysis machines and stream data to a central machine via WiFi which performs analysis and graphical/use interface, including continuous BP estimation and prediction. We’ll be reporting back prograss as this phase continues.
